I was able to put together a centerpiece for the table for our party this weekend using my Happy Graduation cartridge for my Cricut. I still need to take a picture of it and post it but it turned out really cute. I got the idea from the website my pink stamper. I did a flowerpot filled with moss and cut out graduation designs; glued them to popsicle sticks; and poked them into the moss to look like flowers. SO CUTE!
In researching what to do with the gift bag fiasco I had (see post below) I found out I had cupcake holders in this same cartridge. I HAD NO IDEA! Two of the pixs were cupcake holders who would've guessed. I'm telling you I need a book. I thought from the pictures that they were just banners. Unfortunately, I'm not serving cupcakes at the party but my daughter saw them and wants cupcakes for her party. So eventually I will get to use them. :)
On another note....we are exactly two weeks away from school starting! This is one happy mama!!! My son is starting high school and my daughter is on her last year of elementary school. Both of them are looking forward to it. So the next two weeks will be filled with school shopping and trying to get back to a regular bed time schedule. I think the bed time issues are the hardest for us. They are so used to sleeping in.
Well, better get going. Have a great day!
Hi Lulu!
ReplyDeletePlease forgive me for not visiting you sooner. I was so busy last week but now I do hope everything is back to normal, well, my normal anyway!
I know exactly the type of centerpiece you are talking about. Those are so pretty! I do hope you put up a picture of it! Two weeks until school starts? Wow summer went by really fast. When I lived in Illinois the boys usually started right around Aug. 21st, or better yet the week after the Boone County fair. Have you ever gone to that fair? We always had such a great time there. My youngest son is now heading into his junior year of high school and they start right after Labor day up here in Minnesota.
You had asked me if my friend Lulu had a blog. She does have one and she is a wonderful crafter but she has been so busy she hasn't had time to keep up her blog. Her blog is www.craftingwithlu.blogspot.com. I'm hoping when things settle down for her she can start blogging again. I hope so!
I hope you have a fun weekend Lu! I'll blog with you soon!
Susan
