Thanksgiving countdown!!!

Three days and counting...Turkey Day!!!  Doing the final running around for Thanksgiving today.  This year Thanksgiving will be just us. Usually my side of the family come over for Thanksgiving (which only consists of my brother's family) but this year my sister-in-law's mother is not doing so well so they will be staying home with her this year. Very sad, her mom had a stroke a couple months ago and the recovery has been very difficult.  So, it will be a quiet Thanksgiving but that's okay we will still have the blowout turkey dinner.

And only 3 days of work this week....love it.  So much planned for the long weekend!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Updates...

It's been awhile but I'm finally back.  Have been doing a lot since my last post.  Halloween decorations are put away and Thanksgiving ones are up.  I've also been doing some crafting...so excited.  Got some scrapbook pages done, some decor for my kids' doors, and helped my kids with some school projects.

This was part of my daughter's science project.  She did her report on penguins.  She also had to pick an extra activity to do...we decided to build a model of a penguin.  We went to Michael's and picked up styrofoam balls.  They even had one egg shaped which was perfect for his body!  We took one styrofoam ball and cut it to make his wings, feet, and beek.  And used toothpicks to put him together.  She had a great time painting all of it.  And she got an A+ on it.  I was so proud of how well she did with it.  The only thing I did was the cutting of the one styrofoam ball...I didn't want her to cut herself because those balls are very difficult to cut.  She did everything else.

If you haven't figured it out yet my kids are big sport players.  My son plays football so I created a replica of his school helmet.  And for my daughter I did a softball with her team name on it.  These are vinyl signs I have on their bedroom doors.  I used my cricut and the cartridge Sports Mania.  I was able to find the vinyl on http://www.expressionsvinyl.com/  in the colors I needed.  For my son I needed black and brown, and for my daughter I needed yellow and purple.  Both of these are @ 11x11 in size.

That's it for now...Have a good weekend!
