I can't believe how fast this year has gone. It was a pretty good year...can't complain too much. HaHa!
I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and happy new year as I don't see myself logging in on New Year's Eve. I'll be busy spending time with my family.
God bless you and your families as we look forward to a happy, healthy, and safe 2012.
Happy New Year!
See you all in 2012!!!

Pretty quite day today. Not much going on. I'm working this week and it is so dead in our office. Even the filing is done.
My kids are enjoying their holiday break from school. They have been keeping themselves busy with their christmas presents. After new year's their practice schedules kick in for baseball & softball so they are trying to be as lazy as possible this week. It is quite funny.
Otherwise not much else today! Have a great day everyone!

Happy Wednesday!
Hello Everyone!!! I hope everyone is getting ready for New Year's. We are. We are spending New Year's eve with some friends so my husband (who is an excellent cook) is busy making jalapeno poppers and guacamole with homemade chips. He makes the best guacamole. People don't believe me until they try it and then they agree it is soooo good. I can't wait. :)
It's a sure sign that the holidays are over when your email contains the spring softball schedule! UGH! I love it and hate it at the same time. I want the warm weather but not looking forward to the chaos. I shouldn't complain about the weather though. I'm in Illinois and (knock on wood) we haven't had snow yet. Cold but no snow. I'm not ready for snow. I need new tires on my car and I need to wait til the end of January to get them so I am keeping my fingers crossed that the snow holds off. Although if you ask my daughter she wants another blizzard to hit us. She made an awesome snow fort last year and she wants to do it again. To be 10 again :)

Happy Holidays again! I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. We had a nice christmas weekend. I love it when the holidays aren't hectic. And this was a hectic free holiday...those are rare. It helps that our family wasn't hosting the family this year. We did it last year so we have a few more years before it's our turn again.
I wanted to share some other crafts I did over the holidays.
I wanted to share some other crafts I did over the holidays.
This was a small vase I picked up at Michael's for my daughter's teacher. I etched the letter M (for her last name) on it for her to use as a pencil holder on her desk. And below is the card I put together for her using the Winter Frolic cricut cartridge.
From the same cartridge I made these tags to use on the family's gifts. I made them at 3 in.
I'm so proud of myself I remembered to take pictures..haha!!

After making a card for my sister-in-law I decided to try to make goodie bags for my daughter's class for their holiday party. I got this idea from My Pink Stamper...THANKS ROBYN! My daughter and I put these together. My daughter had a great time stamping. I went and bought the Gingerbread cartridge for my Cricut. I then decided to purchase a stamp block set and my first set of stamps - it helps that Michael's was having a sale and I had a coupon!
These goodie bags were a huge success. Now we are thinking of doing these for Valentine's Day instead of the ususal store bought cards for her class. I better start looking for a valentine's day cartridge and stamps..haha!
My sister-in-law's birthday is in December so I made her this card. This was the start of my holiday crafting.

Happy Holidays!
I can't believe Christmas is practically upon us. We have been enjoying this holiday season with so many of our good friends that I haven't been able to keep up with my blog. I have been crafting for the holidays. I just love homemade items. I am busy putting together goodie bags for my daughter's holiday party at school, her teacher's gift, our family's christmas cards, and gift tags for all of our gifts. My husband thinks the cricut is the best thing he ever bought me!
Better get going it's getting late! I will post pictures of everything shortly.
